Pretty Raine Inkless Print Kit – review

We all know how quickly little ones grow, and it is so nice to have a keepsake from the baby years to look back on. With Gemma and Jacob, we have their hand and footprints, made with paint. They are truly lovely memories to look back on, but I do remember just how messy a business it was making those prints!

That’s why I was very excited to be offered the chance to review an inkless print kit from Pretty Raine. No ink, paint, mess or fuss – just an easy peasy way to capture those precious memories.
So how does it work? The kit contains printing paper, and a magic packet which contains a yellow wipe. It is just that – a small yellow piece of material that you simply wipe over the hands and feet. No mess, no paint all over your hands, sofa and clothes. I also found it much nicer for Max – paint on their little hands and feet must feel very cold and strange – this just leaves a very slight ‘dampness’ on the skin.
You then just gran the printing paper and press the hand or foot onto it. Hold for a few seconds….and that’s it! The print appears straight away, but does darken over time, so don’t worry if it appears too light to start with.

Cleaning up is easy too – just grab a baby wipe, and give your little ones hands a quick wipe over!

And we are left with a very special keepsake of Max’s first few weeks of life. I did manage to get a few of my own fingerprints around the edge of the paper where I had got some of the ink on my hands, but as I plan to trim and frame this footprint it’s not an issue.
Overall I love this idea. It means you can quickly and easily print hand and footprints with no mess and with less upset to your baby. Great idea!

Oh I wish I had seen this when Ted was tiny, I spent ages sat with paint and baby wipes getting footprints! Brilliant product! x

It’s such a great idea, I remember struggling with paint and paper with the older 2 – this was much quicker and easier (and far less messy!)
