Home Bargains review – New Year, New You!

With the New Year, many of us vow to take a bit more time out for ourselves. I know it’s something that a lot of us busy mummies would love to do – just 5 minutes here and there without a toddler hanging off our leg or someone needing a biscuit. That’s where Home Bargains have stepped in, and sent a box full of goodies and treats, just for me to pamper myself with.

What’s in the box?
  • Hot water bottle – £2.99
  • Candle – 69p
  • Natures Origin Jar – £1.99
  • Shower smoothie – 89p
  • Shower cap – £1.29
  • Exfoliating gloves – 99p
  • Argan oil – 99p
  • Collagen face mask – 69p
  • Cushion – £3.99
  • Rubber duck – £1.49

What did I think?

I couldn’t wait to dive into this box. The cushion grabbed me straight away – it’s a lovely design, and fits really well in our house. The colours are bright and cheerful, and it is soft and well padded.
The candle smells delicious – it is a ‘Winter cotton’ fragrance and reminds me of freshly washed clothes – a very subtle scent.
The Natures Origin moisturiser is thick, rich and gentle on my skin, and is perfect to layer on after using the delicious smelling coconut, almond and vanilla shower smoothie! Also perfect for the shower is the shower cap (have never used one before but they are handy if you just want a quick shower but don’t have time to wash and dry your hair) and the Argan oil – an intensive hair treatment made with Moroccan oil. This leaves your hair feeling very smooth and soft, and gives it a lovely shine. The exfoliating gloves are also really handy to have, and work ever so well with the shower smoothie to leave your skin soft and glowing.
If you want a deep down pampering treat then I can definitely recommend the Collagen face mask – pop it on then snuggle up with the warming hot water bottle, which comes with a knitted cover for extra cosiness.
Finally the rubber duck – I have to admit that this one went to the kids. They love it.
Everything in my gorgeous pamper box was a real treat – and the prices are truly amazing! There are some genuine bargains to be had here – perfect for birthday gifts, or just as a treat for yourself. So take 5 minutes and look after YOU this New Year. You deserve it!
