Cornish Daisy feeding bib review and giveaway

I have been a fan of the wonderful Cornish Daisy for a long time now. When Max was teeny tiny we reviewed the bib and blanket gift set and we haven’t really looked back – Max now has a selection of the dribble bibs which are worn on a daily basis, especially at the moment with teething causing a serious amount of dribbling.
Now that Max is weaning – and what a messy business that is – we are trying out the Cornish Daisy Pod feeding bib – the wipe clean bib with the pop up pocket. Designed by a mum of 4 who knows her stuff, it was inspired by her hatred of digging soggy biscuits out of the corner of pocket bibs. Yuck – is there anything more disgusting?

On first opening the bib, I was surprised by how soft and flexible it was. I find a lot of these types of bibs to be hard, stiff and quite frankly a real pain to pop on your child. The Cornish Daisy bib is made from cotton laminated with oilcloth, so it bends, flexes and feels much softer than many others I have tried. It even means it is possible to fold this bib in on itself to make a teeny little parcel perfect for the changing bag.
The beauty of this bib is in the fold down pocket. After a meal, undo the bottom poppers, fold the bib out flat and wipe it clean.
Max was happy to wear the bib too. He is quite accomplished at pulling off bibs, which can be rather messy, especially if it is in the middle of a meal. The poppers on the Cornish Daisy bib are tough and strong, and there are 3 sets to ensure a good fit for any size neck.
The real test of course comes with a meal. We tend to use a baby led weaning approach with Max, and as such he mainly eats with his hands – no matter what sort of food it may be. This is lovely and great for his motor skills – but also incredibly messy, and so any bib we use needs to be able to handle whatever he, quite literally, throws at it.
Shepherds Pie and sugar snap peas were not a problem. Anything Max dropped slid down the bib and into the pocket – and once he was done, we simply undid the poppers at the bottom, folded the bib out flat and wiped it clean. None of this digging around to fish out the remains of dinner.
The feeding bib even coped with a mini milk experiment – now that is saying something! Max’s clothes stayed clean and dry.
This is by far the best wipe clean feeding bib I have ever come across, and I will definitely be stocking up on a few more. At £9.99 I think they are fantastic value for money.

I love the bib with the tiny pink flowers best its so pretty, the other designs are all very nice too, there are none that I dislike at all, altogether a very nice range of options and a very simple yet clever design. Who remembers the nightmarish rigid hard plastic Pelican Bibs with the big scoop at the bottom, so uncomfortable to wear. They were around when I was a baby! (48 years ago) and you can still buy the things now so I think these new Bibs by Cornish Daisy will be welcomed with open arms by Mums as an absolute godsend. Will definately be getting for my grandchildren but for now am interested on behalf of a new little niece. xx
