Soak & Sleep mattress topper review

A mattress topper is one of those things that I have always looked at in shops and wondered why I would need one. Yes, they look lovely and soft, but what difference would it actually make to my already comfortable bed?
When Soak & Sleep got in touch and offered me a duck feather mattress topper to try out, I was really intrigued to see just whether it could improve my sleeping experience.

It’s ever so easy to attach to the mattress. I had visions of it being a real pain, sliding around all over the mattress and bunching up. But the elastic corner straps keep it firmly in place and make popping it on the bed a 2 minute job.

Once in place you can really appreciate the depth of the topper – it adds a good couple of inches of padding to the mattress, and would revive even the most tired of beds.

It looks SO luxurious, and my only concern now was that it would be TOO padded, and I would feel like I was sleeping on a cushion. It doesn’t feel that way though – it feels divine. It reminds me of jumping into a bed in a posh hotel – you know the types where you just sink into the mattress? Yeah, just like that. It has added a real level of luxury to my bed, and I am most certainly not intending to go back to sleeping without one now.

I can highly recommend the duck feather topper from Soak & Sleep – the double version we have is priced at just £34. It is described as their ‘budget’ version but there is nothing budget about this. It’s soft, supportive and springy and I wouldn’t hesitate to buy another in the future.

It sounds amazing!!! We have a memory foam topper but it’s pretty thin so not especially effective. What we really need is a new bed lol.
