Giveaway: Medela Swing electric breast pump

Medela breast pump

A few months ago I reviewed the Medela Swing breast pump. Having used Medela products before, I was confident the Swing would be comfortable and efficient, and I was right – the Swing helped me through the early days of breastfeeding, newborn weight loss, top up feeds and jaundice. Not only is it ideal for using at home, it’s the perfect pump for on the go too, as it is quiet, discreet and lightweight.

If you are expecting a baby, or have recently welcomed a little bundle of joy into the world and are thinking about breast pumps, then I have just the competition for you. I have teamed up with Medela to offer one lucky reader the chance to win their very own Swing electric breast pump. Whether you are already breastfeeding and would like to pump so someone else can help with some feeds, or whether you are planning ahead for when bump becomes baby, the Medela Swing is a new parent must have.

If you really want to breast feed for a long time (just from personal experience) I would highly recommend not supplementing with bottles if at all possible. I was so upset when my baby began refusing the breast after a few weeks as he’d got used to the ease of taking milk from a bottle teat. I’d thought he wasn’t getting enough from me when in actual fact, he was probably just going through a growth spurt.

use both breatst evenly as one can get reallty sore when the baby favours one particlular breast

if expressing do it straight after the shower and have a warm facecloth on your breast as it helps the milk flow

I breast fed my first little boy for a year and am looking forwards to doing the same with my next little man in July 🙂 I found the first week was very hard on my nipples and Lasinoh cream was a lifesaver! I appreciate breastfeeding isn’t for everyone but I am so proud to say that I have!
