How to design a Lego themed bedroom

When it comes to designing a children’s bedroom, you can have a lot of fun and make it really interesting and creative. After all, encouraging your child’s imagination is one of many important steps that you should take to foster your son or daughter’s growth. And one really popular theme for a child’s bedroom is the Lego theme. How can you pull this off and create a bedroom that your child will love to spend time in? Check out the tips below to get started.

Start with the Bed

The bed is the focal point of your child’s bedroom, and it is also super easy to transform, so why not start there? Purchase Lego sheets for the bed, as well as matching pillowcases and a cozy comforter that your child will love. You can even go ahead and purchase a few pairs of Lego pyjamas that your child can wear to bed to match.

Look for Cute Lego Accessories

Lego is a huge brand with a lot of products beyond the toys themselves. When it comes to home décor, you can find cute Lego themed accessories, from light switch plates, to lamps, alarm clocks, and nightlights. You can even check websites like Etsy to look for custom made items by creative individuals who also love Lego’s.

You can also decorate with Lego posters, stickers, and desk accessories so that your child will always be inspired, whether settling into bed at night or working on completing homework assignments by day.

Display Your Child’s Lego Creations

If your child loves Lego, he or she probably has quite a few Lego creations that should be on display. Place these on your child’s desk, as well as on the dressers, so that anyone who walks into the room will immediately see them and be impressed by your child’s skills at building with Lego blocks.

Incorporate a Lego Organizer

Again, if your child is a big fan of Lego, he or she probably spends a lot of time playing with them, so why not add a little Lego organizer to the bedroom, too? This could be as simple as a few small plastic storage bins that neatly organize and sort the Lego’s by their colors so that they are easy to find.

Paint a Mural on the Walls

If you are really talented with a paintbrush, or you know an artist who is, rather than merely painting your son or daughter’s bedroom in your usual kids’ paint colour, why not go all out and actually paint a fun and colourful mural on the walls?

Focus on painting Lego blocks to make it look like the wall itself is constructed from Lego, and you can even incorporate some of your child’s favourite characters from their beloved Disney stories or most watched cartoons.

Ultimately, designing your child’s bedroom should be a lot of fun, especially if you are going with a Lego theme. Have your child involved in the design process, if possible, so that the room could be a unique showcase of his or her personality and preferences.
