5 tips for a fun kids bedroom makeover

With autumn upon us and the kids back in school, most of us will be relishing the opportunity to give our homes a quick makeover after the chaos of the summer months!

And it’s the kid’s bedroom that usually needs the most urgent attention with the walls often being turned into spaces for murals and the bed frames being makeshift climbing frames. So here are five ways that we can all give our little ones’ rooms a quick revamp!

Store those toys

All parents know the pain of tripping over toys, so why not get some lovely baskets that can be used to store all manner of toys and books. I particularly like these cute storage baskets that come in all manner of colours, and I think the one with the dinosaur on would be a big hit in our home!

Bed inspiration

We all know how we should get a slightly larger bed for a child to grow into, and regardless of whether we’re thinking of bunkbeds or even stylish bedsteads, it’ll have to be indestructible. This is why Bedstar’s range of metal frames are great as they not only include lots of fun colour options for boys and girls, but they look like they’ll be able to withstand even the most epic play session!

Desk options

It might seem a little ambitious to give your child a desk in their bedroom, but these multi-functional pieces of furniture can provide lots of storage space, whilst giving your child the room to draw, paint and even eventually do some homework! Again, durability is key in choosing your child’s first desk, and I really like the look of this smart white desk that even includes a handy pinboard for making notes and compiling those Christmas want lists!

Lighting ideas

OK so it might not be quite as exciting as picking a new bed frame, but issues of lighting should also balance functionality with style and safety. And that’s why I love these memory balloon ceiling lights that are fun, colourful and thankfully durable enough to be pulled by those little hands!

Clock fun

And finally, what better why to encourage your sleepy child to get out of their luxurious new bed for a day at school than by getting a fun themed alarm clock that’ll not only get them moving, but help them tell the time too!
