The birds are just starting to appear in out garden again after the cold snap, so today we made a bird feeder. The children love sitting in the utility room and watching the birds in the garden.
This bird feeder is SO simple – it is made using lolly sticks, glue and string. That’s it.
- Lay 9 lolly sticks out next to each other:
2. Place 2 lolly sticks across the top and bottom of your feeder base, and glue into place to make a rigid base. Then continue to use lolly sticks (stacked 2 at a time) on alternate sides of your base. Before you place the last lolly sticks, tie a piece of string around both so you can hang it up.
3. Once dry, fill with seed for the birds:
4. Hang up – and wait for the birds to appear!
