The Bumbleride fits comfortably in our estate car, with room for bags and picnic stuff. If we needed more space, I would just remove the rear wheels to make it a bit more compact.
The first test was mud and grass. NO problems at all – the push and the ride were as smooth as when using on tarmac, and Max didn’t get bumped around in the seat – mainly due to these tough 12″ air tyres and some rather great suspension I think!
Then for the real test – an off road walk through the local woods, with mud, leaves, hills, stones and lots and lots of bumps to tackle.
I love how much you can fit in the basket – it is enormous, and makes heading out for the day a breeze as you can easily pack a picnic, a blanket, a changing bag and coats in there. We unpacked everything from the car and set off on the start of the nature walk. My husband and I both enjoy pushing the Bumbleride as the adjustable handle means we both find it comfortable.
Even on the bumpiest ground the Bumbleride remained easy to push, and the lightweight frame made going up hills easy too. When we stopped to build a den, the strong brake made sure that the pushchair didn’t move an inch.
Max really loves the Bumbleride. Previously to this, he has always been in a parent facing pushchair, so I was worried he wouldn’t like facing away from me – I was very wrong, he loves looking out at the world and watching everything that is happening. (When did my baby get so big?!)
So, the Bumbleride passes the urban test AND the rural test, and on a practical level it gets the thumbs up too. Lightweight, easy to fold, adjustable handle and leg rest, huge basket and a large hood too.
On top of all of that, I love the little accessories you get as standard. The raincover is non PVC and doesn’t have that stiff, plasticky feel you often get. It’s soft, flexible and easy to fold and has a window in the front to make it easy to access your baby. You also get a cupholder which just clips on to the side of the frame – an accessory I really like, as there have been many times I have been out and bought a cup of coffee and then had to try and juggle pushing the pram and carrying a hot drink. Not ideal. The cupholder makes it much easier, and is the perfect size for a Costa cup – just in case you need to know 😉
There is also a bumper bar included, which is easy to fit and remove, and can be adjusted to a couple of different heights.
In conclusion? I love the Indie. I love the lightweight frame combined with the hardwearing wheels and great suspension – this combination gives you a set of wheels that is really multi purpose. For a large pushchair, the fold is compact and the light frame makes it easy to throw in the back of the car. The range of adjustability in the handle, the leg rest and the recline make it comfortable for pushers and passengers alike, and the huge hood and basket tick all the practical boxes. It’s definitely a real winner for me.
I really do like this, and Max looks very comfortable in it. Look like there’s loads of room for him to grow in it too. Lovely review. Thanks Kate 🙂

Dear Kate. Thank you for the great review. We are so glad you like it (like we do too ;-)). Looking forward to the sun now so we can get out and enjoy our Bumbleride’s and the little ones in it.
This pushchair looks indestructible! I love how outdoorsy it looks. Bumbleride are favourites of mine x
Loving this and would definitely try one if there was ever another baby! I love the sturdiness of it and how versatile it is. Max looks to be loving it!
That does look really good, and I love the amount of basket space underneath.
That looks like a fantastic push chair! I love that you ‘off roaded it’ as well! #TriedTested
I have decided that I need an all-terrain pushchair! I’ve seen Bumbleride a few times now and this one looks great, so many all terrain strollers are bulky, this seems to be really compact.
What a great looking, practical pushchair!
awwww that looks brill. lovely size and looks like lil man found it very comfy 🙂 #triedandtested
Wow that looks amazing. We really need a new one and I love how it is compact folded down. I have to take the wheels off our Quinny to get it in the boot! Not nice in the rain x
That does look fab,so much better than the My3 I used to have. #TriedTested and thanks for the mention too 🙂
This looks great and Max is always a little star in your photos, you can tell how much he loves it 🙂 x
Still totally jealous and can’t wait to try it out in couple of weeks time 😉 #TriedTested
