Now that Max is a fully fledged toddler, he relishes his independence – and hates going in the pushchair. He wants to be out on his feet, exploring the world around him, rather than watching it from a set of wheels. Now that’s fine most of the time, but he is still only small, and I need to be able to give him that bit of independence while still keeping him safe. That’s where the Trunki ToddlePak has come in.
It is essentially a set of toddler reins, but with extra. The ToddlePak fits over the shoulders and around the chest with a simple clip (similar to a rucksack strap) and comes with a dual purpose rein, which can be used as a training rein for those tots who are still a bit wobbly, or a leading rein for more confident walkers.
The training rein allows the parent to have more control and support the child, while the leading rein gives more independence and freedom while the parent can still retain control. A clever idea, and one that means you don’t need to shell out on 2 different sets of reins as your toddler grows.
The ToddlePak is also super easy to adjust. The fastening clip can be pulled in or loosened as required, and will adjust both the shoulder and waist strap simultaneously, meaning less faffing while trying to hold onto a wriggly toddler! It also makes it easy to adjust if you take your childs coat off or pop on another layer.
As well as being easy to use and very parent friendly, the fun and bright designs make them popular with the children too. Max loves the lion face on his ToddlePak, and the bright yellow colour really stands out in a crowd. We can easily unclip the rein section while he plays, just leaving the harness in place, then pop the rein back on when we need to head home.
Having used several types of toddler reins over the years, I can safely say that the ToddlePak is my favourite. I love how easy it is to fit and adjust, the 2 stage rein option, and the bright and funky design – much more exciting that boring navy, which means Max is more likely to want to wear it! As usual, Trunki have come up trumps with another practical and fun product.
Oh these look great , I think I need something like this for my 19 month old as the ones she has are not very good and she keeps falling over when wearing them xx

These are great aren’t they? I’m looking forward to using ours now my daughter is starting to take a few steps #triedtested
So cute with the lion face! I do love all the Trunki products – my daughter has an octopus Paddlepak, but pop an animal face on anything and she’s an instant fan.

Mummy bean had reins when she was younger and she says she’ll be using them for me. These look great and the different settings are perfect!
These look great! We’ve used some reins and they were so useful; they meant Ava could walk ‘by herself’ safely when she didn’t even want to hold our hand. These look particularly good and I love the designs x #TriedTested
Max is a super cutie and the Trunki Toddlepak looks fantastic. It’s certainly something I’m going to want to invest in once Noah is finally walking! (14 months now and can take a few steps but just cannot be bothered to do it!)

These look bright and fun. My little boy would never ever wear reins though, it was a total nightmare.

These are so cute. H has never been a fan so I stopped trying reins quite early on which is a shame as they look so lovely! Love Max’s expressions in the pictures! xx

I love Trunki as a brand as this ToddlePak looks great, which they’d been available when Monkey needed reins
This looks really cute and the dual purpose rein part looks great, makes it last that bit longer.
