Max loves to dress up. We have several dressing up costumes already – specifically princess dresses and superhero get ups that belong to the older 2 – but Max had nothing of his own. That is until Pretend to Bee got in touch and offered to send him a Construction Worker outfit. I knew this would be right up Max’s street as he loves getting his tool box out and helping Daddy with the fixing.
The Construction Worker costume includes a pair of trousers with hi-vis strips, a hi-vis jacket and a hard hat. This set is aged 3-5 years, and although Max is only 2 it is a pretty good fit – we just had to roll the trouser legs up. He has plenty of growing room, so I know we will get good use out of it. The hat is adjustable inside, so you should be able to get a good fit there too.
As soon as he had the outfit on, Max went off to find his tools, and was soon in the garden ‘fixing’ the apple tree and checking that all the flowers were present and correct. Usually, he won’t wear anything on his head – hats don’t last 5 minutes – but his safety hat stayed on all afternoon. In fact, the whole costume stayed on all afternoon, and has been his outfit of choice ever since – I struggled to get him to nursery without it the other day!
Overall, we are chuffed to bits with the Construction Worker outfit from Pretend to Bee. It’s simple, appealing and good quality. It is machine washable and generously sized so you will get may years of wear from it. It is just really good fun – and one of the only sets like this I have seen. It makes a nice change from the usual superheroes and animals you usually find for this age range. In fact, Pretend to Bee have an amazing range of dressing up costumes from 6 months to 9 years, all designed by their team in the UK, which are tested to toy safety standards and carrying the CE mark.. Ideal for school dressing up days, world book day, ugly bugs ball, party themes, play at home, and make a lovely gift. There is also a selection of toys, accessories, clothing and shoes to complete the shopping experience.
