My dog is called Festus, I call him by his pedigree name as it’s such a nice name and it means celebrations. I got him before Christmas, so it was very appropriate.
Anca recently posted…365 Project – January
We have a Beagle, Poppy – her name was a family decision, after going over loads of other names, as soon as I said How About Poppy, everyone agreed.
Misty and Cookie. Their names just came to me!
Our dog is called Honey! I decided upon Honey because she was so sweet as a pup and is a white and honey coloured chihuahua! I also love honey!
Our dog is a two year old dear headed male chihuahua and we have called him Goliath.
I’ve posted a photo on your Fb page of my 2 girls Roxy & Lola ,Roxy is a Jackadoo & we just kept saying dif names till one suited her ,The other dog is called Lola ,she is a border cross with a petterdale /Jack russel her mum had to be put down due to internal problems 🙁 my daughter choose her name x
Our fur baby is called Patch because of the Patch over his eye!
Chloe, we had no choice as she is a guide dog suits her though
We have an English Springer Spaniel called Barnaby. We wanted an unusual name…not your average dog name and my other half and two girls wind me up about watching Midsomer murders so I pushed and pushed for Barnaby.
My four legged best friend is called Louis 🙂 I chose his name simply I loved it and its suits him very well 🙂 I would be over the moon to win a Hunt & Wilson wooden dog bed for him as he is an amazing and much loved little guy (miniature Dachshund 🙂 Paws crossed 🙂
oooops typo! I meant to say because I loved it 🙂
Ours is called Scooby, she was our foster dog from a very bad background, but we fell in love with her and couldnt say goodbye! 🙂
My four legged friend is a one eyed Romanian ex-street dog. He has a round face and looks just like a bear, hence his name Mr (Hector-his rescue centre name) Bear!
Doni – he was named before we got him and at 8 months we bought it wasn’t fair to change it especially when he comes to it. He was named after the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle and his full name is Donatello. 🙂
I have two furry friends Mocha and Truffles Both Chihuahua Rescue dogs , They already had their names when they came to me , and they are perfect , Mocha is a short coat Mocha coloured Chi who was imported from the USA by a breeder she was made to have 9 litters of pups before she reached 6 years old and at the end of her breeding life was placed in rescue , Truffles is a Long Hair Chi who talks via Snorting , she can smell food at 100 yards so the name fits her personality perfectly , again she was a breeders dog , but was placed in rescue when she failed to breed . One of these Fab beds would be perfect as they love snuggling together
We have a Millie (Whippet) aka Mildred, Mildrew or Millicent depending on the mood & Ruby (Pug) aka Ruby Noodles (It’s random but it just seems to go) & they are quite simply just names that we love.
Barney, from a tv character
My furry love is called Dipper. My hubby wasn’t 100% behind the plan to get a dog, so as part of the deal I’d agreed that he could name the dog, I would clean up any accidents, and I would walk the dog when my sons inevitably gave up. For weeks he insisted we were calling the dog ‘Bob’, which I just couldn’t imagine calling out on our walks. In the end, on the night we went to choose which of the litter we were getting, hubby was pointing out constellations as we drove along, and commented that the Big Dipper appeared to be right over the farm we were visiting. Almost as soon as we arrived, a gorgeous patterdale puppy with a white star marking on his chest climbed onto hubbys knee and went to sleep, the decision was made and Dipper was named.
scooby after scooby doo
Our gorgeous king charles spaniel is called Barney. We chose the name after the purple bear on the children’s TV programme.
