My dog is called Rolo, we named his this because we got him at easter time and he is a lovely brown colour – when we got him home he curled up in his dog crate and the kids placed their Rolo easter egg boxes on top of the crate!

My baby is called Asha His a very cute, loving, well behaved little Staffie. I had another name in mind before he arrived but when I got my eight week old Baby it just didn’t fit him. A singer performed some songs on an album by a performer I really like so the inspiration for Asha came from that but it just fitted him and I can’t imagine him ever being called anything else Dxx

Our latest baby we rescued was called Harry and seen as though we already had a Harry, the only name we could agree on was Douglas, the Isle of Man TT race had been on and we are big fans, on tv they talked a lot of Douglas and as it meant so much to us we thought our new addition would love it. When nwe first met him we told the rescue co ordinator we were calling him Douglas….he stopped and looked at me and came running to me….it stuck and we love him and his new name, he is a landseer Newfoundland.

Tia. I didn’t name her. She was my brothers dog and when he moved house he wasn’t allowed any pets in his new flat, so I took Tia in. No Regrets!

Barney. My dad chose the name. Apparently ending their names in a ‘ee’ sound means they know it’s a name and not a command. Not sure how true that is though!

I have four dogs – Solei came to me already named and I don’t know why, Elton was named as he was nicknamed “rocket man” because of the way he shot out when he was born, so named after Elton John! Ria was named in memory of my grandfather (AdRIAn) and Sadie is an amalgamation of her parents names – Sarah and Darwin, who was nicknamed Dardie!
