a blanket
A personalised pj/blanket set xx
a baby shower
Something practical and resilient – vests, socks or bibs, given that all of my friends end up with wardrobes of fancy new born dresses, but little that’s actually practical. Plus I always make a chili, lasagne or something similar for the new parents to save them having to worry about cooking on top of everything else!
I would choose booties, a blanket and a fluffy bunny
A personalised keep skae box or piggy bank.

I always try and buy a combination gift that will be both useful and sweet to open. So usually like a voucher for somewhere like Mothercare of Mamas & Papas so they can pick something they really need, and then maybe some pretty muslin cloths, a soft toy, or a picture frame to unwrap.
I would choose neutral colour blankets baby grows for my neice who’s having her first baby late September
I would normally choose clothes in a larger size so they have something to grow into x
Maybe a fluffy teddy of some sort and some sleepsuits x
a gift voucher for the parents to choose
Clothes from about 6months , I got a dog doorstop for my oldest when she was born…a very bizarre gift but she does still have it!
