Outdoor Look are a nationwide retailer of outdoor clothing, footwear and equipment. Living in the Devon countryside, this sort of shop is somewhere we spend a lot of money, as there is always the need for wellies, walking boots, waterproofs and rucksacks.
I was recently sent the Trespass Cintia Natural Down Insulated Padded Jacket in Purple, and it has had a lot of use lately. Although summer seems to be on the way these last few days, we have had plenty of rain too, and those early mornings walking the dog can be chilly and damp!
The Trespass Cintia coat is warm and padded with a down lining – ideal for colder days. In fact, I have often had to take the coat off when walking the dog as it is SO warm! There is an adjustable zip off hood, 2 zipped pockets plus a zip pocket on the sleeve and a drawcord hem for a secure fit. Sizing wise, I ordered a size 12 which is what I would wear in other coats, and actually found the Trespass Cintia a bit small. It fits OK, but there isn’t much room for movement and it certainly isn’t too comfortable over a jumper. If worn with a tshirt underneath I can just about get away with it, but I would recommend sizing up if you are ordering for yourself.
The colour is lovely – I would describe it as more of an indigo blue than a purple, and it has a bright pink lining – something a bit different from the usual blacks and greys you usually see in outdoor coats.
It definitely does the job it was designed for – it keeps me incredibly warm, and is water resistant enough to keep off a light shower. It wouldn’t withstand a real rain storm, but thats not really what this coat is designed for. The material is good quality, and it washes and dries well. My only real criticism is the sizing – it comes up pretty small and you really need to buy a size larger than you normally would for a comfortable fit. But if you are on the hunt for a warm, comfortable, shower proof coat with a pop of colour, then the Trespass Cintia from Outdoor Look is well worth a look.
It looks fab and perfect for the changing seasons
