Share your #SofaMoment and win £100 Love2Shop vouchers!

Whether it’s watching England play football on the big screen with your friends, piling on to the sofa with the whole family to watch your favourite movies, or collapsing at the end of the day to watch those TV shows you recorded months ago but still haven’t got round to watching, having a comfy sofa to relax on is essential to the home!

Our sofa could be described as well loved – it gets used for something for a good portion of every day. Max lies flat on it to watch Paw Patrol and Peppa Pig, before taking all the cushions off to make a tower or a castle. Eliza joins in with this, and uses the sofa as a support for standing up and taking those first wobbly steps. Gemma and Jacob use it for everything from a place to watch TV to a safe spot to avoid the boiling lake of lava they are imagining on the floor. Kevin watches football from the sofa, shouting at the referee and cheering on England in the Euros. I use it as a comfortable space to blog, to write and research my college essays and to read a book at the end of a long day.

However, my favourite ever #SofaMoment is a very special family one – the day we came home from hospital with a newborn baby Eliza, and introduced her to her sister and brothers. Nothing else will ever compare to that.

It has to be when my youngest falls asleep watching peppa pig or something. You try not to move, you know it’s a chance to catch up on your programmes but your unsure whether peppa school will raise enough money to fix the roof! You just sit watching and then the next one starts and it all blows over. Your little one wakes just as you get up to make a tea and the day continues without your own mummy time after all #SofaMoments #WhyAmIStillWatchingThis?

my #SofaMoment is a personal journey i have been on since my baby girl was born. our new dfs sofa arrived when is was 38 weeks pregnant & compared with the old one this new sofa was like sinking into a marshmallow with my spd and swollen feet – it was bliss! Well for the next few months i almost felt like i haven’t moved! breastfeeding my baby girl has been incredible but also hard hard work with complications such as tongue tie, so i must have spent hours sat on it!! It will be a time i will never forget though & now she is 8 months and we still have our morning feed, just the two of us together before the rest of the house wakes 🙂

My #SofaMoment … It was 1999, my hubby was working lates and my son (then age 7) had begged to be allowed to stay up late and watch the Champions League final with me (I’m a massive Man Utd fan) By half time he was asleep, stretched out along the sofa, lying straight over me. At the end of the 90 minutes United were 1-0 down, and not disturbing my boy hadn’t been too dofficult…a few tense moments where I bit down on my fist but not too bad…then we headed into injury time, United scored 2 and it took all my maternal powers not to jump up, throwing sonny boy to the floor, and scream with joy! I did it though, I sat there, quietly, through one of the most exciting football moments of my life, only for him to open his eyes 2 minutes after the final whistle, sleepily look at me and say ‘Did you win then mum? I’m going to bed now, night night’ I still tease him about it to this day.

My favourite #SofaMoment was when my daughter and I came home from hospital after her birth. As I sat on the sofa feeding her with my husband and 2 year old son beside us I felt so very lucky and so very content.
