National Teddy Bear Day | Win £100 Build-A-Bear voucher

Build-A-Bear

Build-A-Bear Workshop is celebrating National Teddy Bear Day this year with a limited edition teddy bear — available for only £5 and only in stores on the 9th September!

With 4 children in the house, teddy bears have been a feature for may years now. When Gemma was born we visited Build-A-Bear and chose her an elephant toy. A few years later when we expecting Jacob, we took Gemma with us to Build-A-Bear and she chose the toy for her new baby brother – a tiger. The theme continued with every child we had, and now all the children have a teddy toy on their beds every night. We have heaps of wooden, plastic and noisy play toys, but the bears are well loved, they are the ones the kids sleep with, the ones they choose to take with them if they ever stay away from home. You can’t cuddle a tractor!

National Teddy Bear Day

National Teddy Bear Day

We often have Teddy Bear picnics – especially in the summer holidays. It’s a lovely way to get some fresh air, enjoy eating outside and get the kids to try new foods – if Teddy loves something then the kids might give it a go too 😉

You can celebrate National Teddy Bear Day by visiting a Build-A-Bear store on the 9th September and grabbing your limited edition teddy. Two additional bears will also be available for £5 each: Lil’ Vanilla Bean Cub and Lil’ Hazelnut Cub. You can purchase a maximum of 5 £5 bears, while supplies last. For every £5 bear purchased in stores on National Teddy Bear Day, Build-A- Bear Workshop will donate one furry friend to Childhood First in the UK.  To find the store closest to you, visit the Build-A-Bear store locator

Join the celebrations online by following @BuildABear on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram and share your favourite teddy bear and Build-A- Bear Workshop memories using #NationalTeddyBearDay all week long!

Family Fever are also celebrating National Teddy Bear Day with a giveaway – one lucky reader will receive a £100 Build-A-Bear gift voucher – just imagine how many lovely teddy friends you could buy with that!

I did yes and his name was Freddy the Teddy! He was just a plain brown bear but I took him every where with me. Freddy would get really stinky at times and that when he would have to take a spinning trip into the washing machine. I would sit by that machine watching and waiting until it finished then Freddy would have to be dried with my mums hair dryer. ha ha.

I had a very dodgy looking teddy that my Father probably spent a small fortune to win from the seaside for me when I was little.
He was a strange mix between a teddy and a dog it you know what I mean. I think I called it Scooby ( how original 🙂 and absolutely loved it 🙂

I had a small dirty pink teddy with one eye and adored him. He went everywhere with him until I accidently left him on the bus one day never to be seen again. My Mum bought me another one that was identical but it wasn’t the same and I didn’t want to know it.
