Build-A-Bear Workshop is celebrating National Teddy Bear Day this year with a limited edition teddy bear — available for only £5 and only in stores on the 9th September!
With 4 children in the house, teddy bears have been a feature for may years now. When Gemma was born we visited Build-A-Bear and chose her an elephant toy. A few years later when we expecting Jacob, we took Gemma with us to Build-A-Bear and she chose the toy for her new baby brother – a tiger. The theme continued with every child we had, and now all the children have a teddy toy on their beds every night. We have heaps of wooden, plastic and noisy play toys, but the bears are well loved, they are the ones the kids sleep with, the ones they choose to take with them if they ever stay away from home. You can’t cuddle a tractor!
We often have Teddy Bear picnics – especially in the summer holidays. It’s a lovely way to get some fresh air, enjoy eating outside and get the kids to try new foods – if Teddy loves something then the kids might give it a go too 😉
You can celebrate National Teddy Bear Day by visiting a Build-A-Bear store on the 9th September and grabbing your limited edition teddy. Two additional bears will also be available for £5 each: Lil’ Vanilla Bean Cub and Lil’ Hazelnut Cub. You can purchase a maximum of 5 £5 bears, while supplies last. For every £5 bear purchased in stores on National Teddy Bear Day, Build-A- Bear Workshop will donate one furry friend to Childhood First in the UK. My favourite teddy was a duplicate of the bear on playschool (Big Ted) but he had a weird growl when you tilted him
yeah I had sue from sooty and sweep that the nurses at fazackley hospital gave me when I was born I had it for 13 years before my stepdad got rid of it while I was at school still haven’t forgiven him 11 years down the line

Yes I had a dark brown teddy bear that I loved and gave to my son when he was a baby and it soon became his favourite, we still have this bear and cannot wait to pass it on to my grandchildren
My favourite teddy was actually a Koala Bear. I didn’t have a name for it but I used to take it everywhere with me.
I had a beautiful big thumper (from bambi) teddy my grandma got me for easter when I was little. I loved it, it was so snuggly!
I had a little white teddy that was my favourite. He still sits on my wardrobe all these years later
I did have a favourite bear it ended up furless and dishevelled such was its appeal ti being constantly with me.
I had a huge pink teddy when I was young and I called it Julie ( after my best friend ) she went every where with me, much to my mothers disgust because it so big .x

Yes I had 2 – Pinky & Bluey – unfortunately poor pinky ended up in a cement mixer (skelped backside for that one!!!)

My favourite teddy when I was a little girl was a Panda who I called Panderer! He had a orange satin bow around his neck and I wouldn’t go absolutely anywhere without him!
