Build-A-Bear Workshop is celebrating National Teddy Bear Day this year with a limited edition teddy bear — available for only £5 and only in stores on the 9th September!
With 4 children in the house, teddy bears have been a feature for may years now. When Gemma was born we visited Build-A-Bear and chose her an elephant toy. A few years later when we expecting Jacob, we took Gemma with us to Build-A-Bear and she chose the toy for her new baby brother – a tiger. The theme continued with every child we had, and now all the children have a teddy toy on their beds every night. We have heaps of wooden, plastic and noisy play toys, but the bears are well loved, they are the ones the kids sleep with, the ones they choose to take with them if they ever stay away from home. You can’t cuddle a tractor!
We often have Teddy Bear picnics – especially in the summer holidays. It’s a lovely way to get some fresh air, enjoy eating outside and get the kids to try new foods – if Teddy loves something then the kids might give it a go too 😉
You can celebrate National Teddy Bear Day by visiting a Build-A-Bear store on the 9th September and grabbing your limited edition teddy. Two additional bears will also be available for £5 each: Lil’ Vanilla Bean Cub and Lil’ Hazelnut Cub. You can purchase a maximum of 5 £5 bears, while supplies last. For every £5 bear purchased in stores on National Teddy Bear Day, Build-A- Bear Workshop will donate one furry friend to Childhood First in the UK. To find the store closest to you, visit the Build-A-Bear store locator.
Join the celebrations online by following @BuildABear on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram and share your favourite teddy bear and Build-A- Bear Workshop memories using #NationalTeddyBearDay all week long!
Family Fever are also celebrating National Teddy Bear Day with a giveaway – one lucky reader will receive a £100 Build-A-Bear gift voucher – just imagine how many lovely teddy friends you could buy with that!

This is a sponsored post on behalf of Build-A- Bear Workshop. I received compensation in exchange for my post; however, all opinions stated are my own.
I had a st bernards teddy which i took to bed everynight but it soon got matted and had to be thrown x
I had a woodstock teddy (from Snoopy) and I adored it and took it everywhere!
I had a little white teddy bear, imaginatively called “little ted” who i loved and took everywhere with me including the bath!. Unfortunately I somehow lost him, still sad about it.
Panda….still have him 44 years on!
i had a cute little pig called “bree” with massive purple eyes from my mum when she went to lanzarote! he was lovely but i lost him when i moved out, would be nice to win this, me and my daughter are massive pokemon fans and have our eye on the pikachu and eevee teddies in build a bear at the moment! 🙂
My lovely Bugs Bunny that had a pull cord on his back and said “What’s Up Doc” 🙂 x x
I still have my (now) very old, balding, favourite Teddy that I had when I was one – he celebrated his 60th this year! 😀 My little granddaughters play with him very occasionally under supervision and treat him with the utmost care and respect.
i never had a teddy but i had a stuffed dog that i got at a jumble sale when i was about 5 i called him toby and i took him everywhere with me
I had a snoopy teddy, who I slept, cried and gained comfort from! Now my 7 year old loves him! He is 31 years old and worn and needs a new ear! However this prize would be amazing as I could let both my children have £50 each towards build a bear! I know they would be loved!
I had (and still have!) a rabbit called Bubbin. Now my daughter has a rabbit called Bubbin Junior and she is just as attached to hers as I am to mine 🙂
