Mia Tui Minnie Amelie review

I do have a bit of a thing for changing bags. And pushchairs. And baby carrier. And….never mind, I digress. As I was saying, I do like a good changing bag and have had lots too many more than one.
My most recent review is for the Minnie Amelie bag from Mia Tui.
It is a brand I have heard plenty about, and have lusted over their bags several times, but have never seen ‘in the flesh’. When my bag arrived, I was super excited to see just what all the fuss is about.
I wasn’t disappointed.
I chose the teal colourway, and it is so pretty – bright and eye catching, and just a little bit different to all the black, grey and brown bags you see so often. I like a splash of colour – especially on the dull winter mornings.

The bag is spacious. It is larger than my usual changing bag, but with 3 children this is no bad thing. It means I can fit everything we need for a family day out inside with no problems whatsoever. There is a choice of 2 short shoulder straps or a longer strap which is included inside the bag. There are copious amounts of pockets – I definitely prefer to have everything organised and in a certain place.
Hidden inside is a wet bag (perfect for cloth nappies, dirty clothes or bottles of cream and medicine), a pen pocket and a key hook, so no more digging around in the bottom of your bag trying to find your keys in the rain. We have all done that right?
I love the contrast between the teal outer and the shocking pink inner. I also love just how much room there is in this bag – once the baby days are over this could seamlessly convert to a handbag, gym bag, swimming bag or picnic hamper. I also really love the addition of a matching clutch bag with detachable shoulder strap – so on the days when baby isn’t with you, or you only need a small bag you can still carry round the Mia Tui gorgeousness.
But for now, a big bag is most definitely necessary for us – it is filled with nappies, wipes, clothes, snacks, drinks and all the other things you carry on a daily basis. I love it.
What do you look for in a changing bag? What is the funniest thing you have found in your bag? I recently found a thermometer in mine – wondered where that had got to!
