Lovably Me review & giveaway

When I am looking for new toys for the kids or bits for their rooms, I do sometimes find it hard to source beautiful, traditional things that are both easy on the eye and practical. I recently stumbled across Lovably Me which seemed to be the answer to my dilemma, and I was thrilled to be sent a few items to review.

Lovably Me review

Children’s wooden Rock & Roll guitar – I love wooden toys, and the children love anything that makes a noise, so this was a huge hit from the second the box was open. It was intended for Jacob, but actually all 3 children have played with this over and over again. At 50cm long, it’s a really good size for little hands, without being too big for the toy box. It looks just like a ‘real’ guitar – the children have played out their favourite songs on here – everything from One Direction to Twinkle Twinkle. It comes with a spare string to combat the inevitable tantrum when one gets snapped, and it’s just a really lovely toy – classic, long lasting and reasonably priced at £19.50.

346-2Wooden animal puzzle – Again, a lovely traditional wooden toy, and one that is ideal for Max. Now he is 1, I have started to collect up a few pieces that are not ‘baby’ toys, and this puzzle is ideal for that. A simple puzzle where you match the 2 halves of an animal to make a 2 piece picture. One the reverse side is an alternative puzzle option for slightly older children – a number and the corresponding amount of animals to match up. Educational, fun and lots of play option with this one – matching, sorting, counting and colours to name but a few!

Girls hair accessories

Gemma loves a hair accessory or 10, and she chose a selection of clips and headbands to try out. There are loads of colours and styles to choose from, and I was pleased to see they are not all pink – not all girls love pink you know!

The headbands are thick, sturdy and free of those horrid grippy bits that dig into your head – yet they somehow stay in place all day. The clips are pretty grippy too – there is some sliding after a full day at school but you wouldn’t really expect anything else. The designs are lovely – I have already been asked by several people where the headbands came from – I haven’t seen anything nearly as pretty in the shops.

Lovably Me is definitely on my hit list now – there are some gorgeous bedroom items that would be perfect for the big house makeover, as well as heaps of great gift ideas for kids that will be sure to have any birthday boy or girl grinning from ear to ear. If you like the look of Lovably Me too, then why not enter my competition below for a chance to win a £30 voucher to spend on the site? Good luck!
