Bobux Xplorer shoes review and giveaway

Finding shoes for little ones who are just finding their feet can be tricky. You want something supportive to help them grow in confidence, but you also want something soft and flexible that won’t restrict their movement. Over the years we have tried heaps of different ‘first shoes’ ranges but never been 100% happy – until now.

The new Bobux Xplorer shoes offer everything little feet need to develop in the right way, while providing a fuss free option for parents too.

First things first, they look fantastic. I love the bright pops of colour, it really makes a change from the usual options available in this size shoe, but it is subtle enough that it goes with everything. Next, you immediately notice how they feel – incredibly soft – so soft that you can actually fold the shoes in half, so I was confident there would be no issues with flexibility.

The fit is another important point – you want the shoes to fit the feet rather than trying to make the feet fit the shoes. The Bobux Xplorer shoes do just that – they are true to Max’s current size, and have no seams to rub little toes. The EVA sole is the bit which provides the flexibility – allowing for better contact with the ground, which in turn aids walking and stability. The shoes also have a micro-armour toe cap – in simple terms this protects the toe of the shoe from scuffing and means you don’t need to replace them every 5 minutes.

Getting the shoes on Max is easy too – they have an elastic ankle which means they slide on well, and you can then secure them in place with the stretchy velcro strap – this means you can adjust them to get the perfect fit no matter what your little one is wearing underneath.

We have been using these shoes for a week or so now, and I am no less impressed than I was the first time we tried them. They are perfect for home – Max can pop in and out of the garden without needing to change, as the shoes are soft but with a fantastic grip that has meant no slipping on our decking, even when wet. They are also ideal for nursery, where the children need something on their feet that is comfortable enough to wear all day when playing. These shoes have pretty much replaced Max’s previous footwear – I much prefer the Bobux shoes. They are comfortable, ultra flexible, and look pretty funky too!
