    I wear a gilet over the top of my clothes which keeps me warmer but doesn’t restrict my arms. Fingerless gloves are also useful.

    walk the dogs, a brisk walk warms you up and the house will seem much warmer when you get back. Of as I saw in a cartoon ‘put another dog on the bed’

    Do the washing up! It’s a great way to get your hands warmed up, and if I’m still cold I put the radio on and have a bit of a boogie.
