A few months ago I reviewed the Medela Swing breast pump. Having used Medela products before, I was confident the Swing would be comfortable and efficient, and I was right – the Swing helped me through the early days of breastfeeding, newborn weight loss, top up feeds and jaundice. Not only is it ideal for using at home, it’s the perfect pump for on the go too, as it is quiet, discreet and lightweight.
If you are expecting a baby, or have recently welcomed a little bundle of joy into the world and are thinking about breast pumps, then I have just the competition for you. I have teamed up with Medela to offer one lucky reader the chance to win their very own Swing electric breast pump. Whether you are already breastfeeding and would like to pump so someone else can help with some feeds, or whether you are planning ahead for when bump becomes baby, the Medela Swing is a new parent must have.

I’m really nervous about breastfeeding and expressing so finding a good breast pump is really important to me – would love to win one of these!
Don’t get stressed if the Baby doesn’t latch on,keep calm, and baby will relax too x
If breastfeeding is not for you, don’t feel guilty or pressurised. Formula will still give your baby what he/she needs 🙂
I would advise expressing and introducing a bottle aswell as breast, this helps significantly when you have to go back to work. My first child was solely breast fed and i really struggled to get him onto a bottle for when i went back to work after maternity leave!
Could not agree more with some of the comments, try and if you can’t do it don’t feel guilty or bad I think there is still too much pressure on both sides
take a drink & snacks to bed with you, i find i always get thirsty whilst feeding and snacks to keep your strength up!
A happy mum = a happy baby, so don’t put yourself under pressure to follow all the guidelines put on you. Oh, and expressing after feeds can work well
Make sure you have comfy clothes that are easy to feed in for the first few weeks, it makes a the difference Xx
Use nipple sheilds if it’s painful
Make sure you have a good support network behind you 🙂 x
Get a good pregnancy pillow that will support you during pregnancy and breastfeeding
Agree with all these comments, if its not right for you dont feel guilty about it, you need to keep in mind your well-being as well as baby’s!
If you feel up to it, keep going as normally as far as you can and not be defined by your pregnancy.

Keep calm and be supportive if your a bloke
The most important thing is not to put too much pressure on yourself. Be patient and stay calm as the more relaxed you are the more relaxed baby will be 🙂
