Giveaway: Medela Swing electric breast pump

Medela breast pump

A few months ago I reviewed the Medela Swing breast pump. Having used Medela products before, I was confident the Swing would be comfortable and efficient, and I was right – the Swing helped me through the early days of breastfeeding, newborn weight loss, top up feeds and jaundice. Not only is it ideal for using at home, it’s the perfect pump for on the go too, as it is quiet, discreet and lightweight.

If you are expecting a baby, or have recently welcomed a little bundle of joy into the world and are thinking about breast pumps, then I have just the competition for you. I have teamed up with Medela to offer one lucky reader the chance to win their very own Swing electric breast pump. Whether you are already breastfeeding and would like to pump so someone else can help with some feeds, or whether you are planning ahead for when bump becomes baby, the Medela Swing is a new parent must have.

I’m due at the end of May and managed about 2 weeks breast feeding with my other 2 children. Hoping a decent pump this time may help to continue longer. But my tip would be don’t stress about it. happy mum happy baby as they say.

Get a support network set up so you can ask for help if and when you need it.

would love to win this as i gave birth to baby number theree 4 days ago! my top tip is if you get to a point where they start biting your instinct will be to pull away – DONT! instead bring them in closer to the breast, they will automatically open ther mouth and release your poor nipple!

to try and relax and not stress out if its doesn’t go how you had planned it. With my last 2 children I decided I wouldn’t get stressed out over the fact I cant breastfeed and I expressed soley for 6 months.

my advice would be to take care of yourself just as much as your baby. With my first i was trying to d too much, skipping meals and forgetting to hydrate. My milk eventually dried up and it was something I have regretted ever since as it could have been avoided. This time round I know better 🙂

Be confident, ignore ignorant comments and if you struggle don’t be afraid to ask for help from your midwife, they were great when I first started 🙂
