I do love a good babygrow. I think people are often far too quick to ‘dress’ babies, whereas I much prefer the comfort and practicality of a babygrow – as well as loving the fact that it makes them look babies for longer! Having said that, I do also like to have babygrows that are smart enough for wearing out – something a bit prettier and more eye catching than the whites and pale pinks we use for bed.
Lil Cubs have become my new favourite for this – and not just because their designs are bright, funky and, quite frankly, gorgeous. I also really rate how practical they are.
They look and work like your ‘average’ babygrow, but instead of having a row of poppers to fasten them, they have a zip that runs from foot to neck. It makes nappy changes a lot easier and faster, and makes dressing a very wriggly baby who tries to crawl off every second a lot simpler too!
Lil Cubs babygrows are made from 100% cotton and use eco friendly dyes, so I would be comfortable using these on newborns and those with sensitive skin. They wash well without losing their shape or colour, and thew sizing is pretty spot on I would say – the babygrows Eliza is wearing in these pictures are 6-9 months and fit her now at almost 9 months with a bit of wriggle room. There is a great sizing guide on the Lil Cubs website which gives you guidelines on the lengths and weights each size should fit.
Now back to the designs – aren’t they just amazing?! I love the fact that all of the Lil Cubs range is unisex – it makes buying baby gifts easier, as well as allowing you to use the babygrows for more than one child. I am not into the whole ‘pink for girls and blue for boys’ thing anyway, so for us these designs are just the ticket. We have both the apple and rainbow chevron babygrows, and I don’t think I could pick a favourite – I love the brightness and the detail on both.
They are adorable. Your baby looks gorgeous in them too.
Lovley! Love the apple one especially Kate! Eliza is growing fast! #TriedTested

These are gorgeous and I couldn’t pick a favourite either. I have a friend who has just had twins – a boy and a girl. These would be a perfect present for her 🙂

Thank you Catherine! We also have beautiful soft swaddles in both prints which are perfect for newborns x

These are gorgeous babygrows – love the apple design especially and what a good idea to use a zip on them too. Eliza looks so adorable in them 🙂
love the bold designs on them – really lovely! (and what a cute little model)
What a fab design and print, really eye catching #TriedTested
What adordable babygrows, but then it does help when you have such a stunning model 🙂
It’s funny isn’t it we put up with poppers for decades and it’s just a little zip that can change the face of a babyGrow! Clever idea and lovely designs.
Thanks for the linky xx

These are so cute! I love the patterns and bright colours 🙂 xx
I love the prints on these but its a shame they don’t do bigger than 9-12months as Arlo is already in 12-18 even though he’s only 10 months! I’m a sucker for chevrons though!

So cute! I love the idea of these and wish I had known about them when Mia was little! The zip idea is great as like you say, its hard enough to change a wriggly baby without having to do up all the poppers on a Babygro! I also agree that they help babies stay babies a bit longer as clothes make them look more grown up quicker (another thing I wish I had known with Mia!) If we have any more children, I will remember these 🙂

They are lovely, I really like the multicoloured chevron one. I agree with you, people do tend to “dress” babies quite quickly even though they are so cute in babygrows!! 🙂 #TriedTested

Wow what gorgeous babygro’s. I love the idea of having a zip. It’s so frustrating trying to do up babygro poppers, especially in the dark if baby needs a night-time change. They look lovely quality too.

I love the designs of these, how funky! I totally agree with you about baby grows – Boo was in them for as long as I could get away with it – as they are so comfy, and so much easier than ‘proper’ clothes!

Ah, gorgeous! I have a nearly-4-month-old and am very fed up with poppers, I often seem to have one left over, especially when changing nappies in the middle of the night. And the unisex thing is great too. Lovely designs and BEAUTIFUL baby 🙂
Aww cute! I love different baby grows and something colour which can be worn by a boy or a girl is fab. Great review 🙂

These look fab. And you’re so right about a zip. I only managed to find 2 with zips when son1 was a baby and they were both fleecy, so too warm for summer use
