Review & giveaway: Tree2MyDoor

Sometimes I really struggle to choose gifts for people. Most people seem to have everything they need already, and it can be so hard to find unique present ideas, especially for people like parents and grandparents.

I was recently introduced to Tree2MyDoor, who offer ‘living gifts for lasting memories’. You simply choose a gift from the huge range of plants, trees and bushes, personalise the greeting if you want to, and send! There are all sorts of options to choose from – everything from fruit and citrus trees to nut plants and roses. Something for everyone.

I was sent a Magnolia Susan tree – a purple and red flowering tree, described as the perfect thing for adding a splash of colour to any garden.

The tree arrived in a large box, and was about 1 metre tall on delivery. It comes in it’s own sturdy pot, ready for you to plant out. It looked in very good condition when we unpacked it, despite it having been in transit – and after a good water, the leaves brightened up even further. Since then, it has continued to flourish, and although we haven’t had any flowers yet, I am looking forward to seeing them next spring. The Tree2MyDoor website has some great images so that you know what to expect when you buy:

This particular tree can be around 2-3 metres tall, but there are larger and smaller trees available on the website if you are after something different.

I absolutely love the idea of sending a tree or plant as a gift, especially for something such as a new baby or a Christening gift – you could watch the tree grow along with the child. I think that’s a little bit magical!

As strange as it sounds, I love Spider Plants, as when I was little mum used to have these everywhere and they remind me of my childhood 🙂
