I can’t believe there is only one more week of the summer holidays – next week we are on holiday and then the children will be back at school! Week 5 of the summer holidays has been a fairly quiet one. Here is our Project 365, days 236 – 242.
Day 236, Sunday -Today was a quiet day at home. Kevin was poorly in the night, so we just had a gentle day of DVD’s and Mega Bloks
Day 237, Monday – The weather was awful today, so we shut ourselves indoors and made cakes.
Day 238, Tuesday – A lovely walk at Haldon Forest, with a stunning view.
Day 239, Wednesday – The weather was a lot better today, and Gemma and Jacob spent a lot of time out on their bikes.
Day 240, Thursday – Gemma and Jacob went to another sports fun day at the local leisure centre today. On the way home we walked through the park and Jacob found a snail.
Day 241, Friday – the children have been taking part in the summer reading challenge at the library, and today they received their medals and certificates for reading 6 books.
Day 242, Saturday – an early morning snack.
You can’t beat finding snails here either. Well done on the reading challenge too.

I think the reading challenge is a lovely thing to do , and something for the kids to feel like they’ve achieved over the summer.
Lovely picture of the kids with their summer reading challenge certificates and love the photo of your little man with his snack 🙂

Well done on the reading challenge. We only got our medal as for some reason they give the certificates out in assembly at school.

sometimes its nice to have a rainy day and an excuse for being lazy. Well done on the reading challenge, my daughter would read dozens of books over the holidays.
A castle in the trees, looks like something Rapunzel would have lived in.
Making cakes is a great pastime
