I want to let you all know about a fantastic scheme run by a friend of mine and her amazing daughter Tia which raises money for some fabulous charities.
Tia’s Treasures began in 2011 when Tia was just 6 years old. Tia started out making bracelets for family and friends until the school which Tia attends held a fundraising event for Tia’s best friend Demi who was battling Retinoblastoma.
Tia decided she would not only create bracelets but necklaces, keyrings and bag charms too. She wanted to sell these “treasures” at the fundraising afternoon to raise money and show her support for her best friend. The afternoon was a great success.
Since the age of 6 months Demi has been battling Retinoblastoma, sadly she had to go through surgery to remove both of her eyes therefore she is now blind but despite all that she has been through she has always remained happy and positive.
Before long Tia realised that she could turn what had started out as a hobby into an opportunity to raise money for other children battling with Cancer by donating proceeds from the sales of her treasures to CLIC Sargent Charity Registration No. 1107328 and SC039857 and CHECT (Childhood Eye Cancer Trust) Charity Registration No. 327493
Tia’s treasures also has a Facebook page and a Website where you can find out more about the most recent fundraising and items available. There is something for everyone!
These are the gorgeous bag charms I recieved from Tia’s treasures this morning, they are really good quality and so pretty. Thankyou Tia!
Wow just came across this, coming up for 2 years ago now. Time flies! x
