How on earth we are at week 12 already I really don’t know. Let’s take a look back over the last month…
Week 9:
Week 10:
Max is not particularly enjoying this heatwave. He has spent most of the week in just a nappy, but at the weekend we went out to the park for a picnic, and found a lovely shady spot where Max could lie on the picnic blanket. He slept there peacefully for the whole picnic.
Week 11:
Memory week! This ‘Little brother t-shirt was Jacob’s and I loved it so much that I kept it. And now Max is wearing it. This is super cute! Max and Jacob are so alike, if I look back at old photos of Jacob, I am amazed by just how similar they are.
This week has also been an amazing one sleep wise. Max now has his last feed at around 9pm, goes up to bed in his moses basket on his own, and SLEEPS! He will generally wake between 6 and 7am. This is awesome, and I definitely know how lucky I am. Whether or not it will last remains to be seen, but for now I am enjoying every second of my nights sleep! Thanks Max!
We also saw a paediatrician this week about Max’s continued reflux issues. He has been prescribed domperidone alongside his Gaviscon and ranitidine, and we hope to see an improvement soon.
Week 12:
A big week for Max. His first trip to the beach – and lots of laughing! There really is no better sound than those first baby chuckles. Things Max finds funny:
Anything that Gemma does. She is chief baby entertainer.
Daddy blowing raspberries
Being tickled under the chin
His laugh is infectious, and we spend a ridiculous amount of time trying to make him laugh.
He loved the beach too – there was so much to see and hear. He watched Gemma and Jacob splashing in the sea and building sandcastles, and was very interested in the seagulls!
Another month passed, and Max has changed so much. He is no longer a ‘newborn’. He has outgrown his newborn clothes. He smiles and laughs every day. He is attempting to roll over:
Awww how exciting. I bet you love seeing him grow everyday although miss him being a baby too.

Love the picture with the chuckle, in fact all the pictures are stunning, so precious when they are so young…enjoy him!

Heat and babies is not great, I bet you are glad it has cooled down!
I love this post. I wish I had discovered blogging when Ethan was a baby. A fantastic way of capturing all of the moments.
Thanks for linking up with Small Steps Amazing Achievements :0)
