Today was Sports Day for Gemma and Jacob. They are both sports mad, and just a little bit competitive, so naturally they love sports day.
Thankfully the sun shone, and the rain stayed away (phew!) and a great day was had by all. Jacob took part in a variety of team games such as dribbling a ball round cones, obstacle races and egg and spoon. He did really well in every race and loved cheering on his team mates!
Then it was Gemma’s turn. She took part in more traditional ‘one against the other’ races – running, hurdles and an obstacle race. And I am very proud to say she won every race! I have a speed demon on my hands!
Have your children had their sports days yet? What sort of races do they take part in, and do they enjoy it as much as mine do?

Our #countrykids is about our first sports day! We had good fun! Your two certainly seemed to have enjoyed themselves! Well done Gemma!
how fantastic it looks like they both did such an amazing job! x
There are a few sports day posts here on Country Kids as well as my own! I’m so pleased the rain stayed away for you and both your children had a great day. Thanks for sharing with Country Kids.
awww I have so pleased you have shared this and linked it up with #MagicMoments xx
Wonderful post. I have loved watching my eldest son take part in his sports days of years gone by. This year I got to watch my youngest in his first. Oh how the children love them. My eldest Wriggler is a speed demon too and usually finishes first in all the running events too 🙂
Well done to Gemma and Jacob. Love the pictures too 🙂 ##ssamazingachievements xx
It looks like they really enjoyed their sports day. Congratulations to Gemma for winning all her races.

Sports Day was such a fantastic day for Gemma and Jacob! ☀️♀️♂️ Both of them absolutely love sports and are just a little competitive, so they were really looking forward to it. Luckily the sun was shining and the rain stayed away, which made the day even better.
It looks like both teams came into the match with strong physical intent, leading to several early fouls. Bruno Damiani’s challenge on Andy Nájar was particularly significant as it resulted in an early yellow card. These moments can really set the tone for the rest of the game, forcing players to be more cautious. Referee Victor Rivas had a tough job managing the intensity so early in the match.
