Babymoov Project Night Light – review and competition

Jacob sometimes has trouble going to sleep, and always needs a nightlight. But nightlights can be a little bit, well, boring! So I was very excited to receive the Project Night Light to review.

This is a multicoloured projector light which projects a starry night sky scene onto the ceiling. It also features 7 different soothing music and nature sounds.

As you can see, it has a really nice, soothing glow – not too bright, so will not overstimulate little ones trying to sleep. There are several different coloured lights, that fade in and out in a smooth sequence. The music and nature sounds are really lovely too. There are 2 different volume settings, depending on how loud you feel you need it. The sounds range from crashing waves and twittering birds, to white noise and a heartbeat. The heartbeat noise is perfect for newborns, while Jacob prefers the birds.

I have to say that this is the best night light I have come across. It is so much nicer than standard lamps, and little ones love the colour changing starry sky scene (and so do the adults but shhh don’t tell). The sounds are soothing and gentle, and it works for all ages, from newborn upwards. A definite must have in my book!

enough sedating anti-depressants to knock out a herd of elephants. Don’t really like taking them but I admit to feeling a little smug climbing the stairs on really hot and stuffy nights knowing that I’m going to sleep whilst others struggle (there has to be a silver lining to a black cloud of depression!)
