The Baby Show, Birmingham 2014

I have never been to a baby show before.
I know – mad right? I have 3 children and have never ever attended a baby show. So, this Friday I made plans with a friend and popped my baby show cherry.
I teamed up with Cosatto and Max spent the day being pushed around in the rather gorgeous Giggle Oaker pushchair.

Max gave the Giggle his seal of approval by falling asleep, and resting his legs on the frame for most of the day – he was clearly super comfortable, and I was more than comfortable pushing it too – the adjustable handle, lightweight chassis and large basket made it ideal for a day at the show!

I met up with the rather lovely Colette for a long overdue catch up. Despite having never met ‘in person’ before, we got on like a house on fire, and I managed to squeeze in some cuddles with the gorgeous, smiley Amy too.

I spent the day wandering around the show, meeting several people I have spoken to online but never met – both other bloggers and brands. Highlights for me were the Bumbleride stand (you can read just how much I love my Bumbleride Indie here) where I got to try the new Indie 4 – I fear it may have just been added to my wishlist! I also loved the Stokke stand – the full size Tripp Trapp highchair is genius, and I also loved the look of the MyCarrier which would be perfect for the busy school run. Another favourite stand was the iCandy set up – they just had so many lovely pushchairs to look at, as did Silver Cross – I quite fancy the Surf2!

There were also some fabulous new brands displaying their stuff – Ickle Bubba is definitely a brand I would recommend checking out, and both Colette and I loved the new Lansinoh mOmma non spill cup – it’s such a fabulous new design, and I would imagine it to be the perfect next step for breastfed babies.

All in all, it was a fabulous, interesting and very social occasion and I am so glad I made the journey.

I’ve never been to a baby show either and I doubt very much that I ever will now – my youngest is 9. But I do remember being absolutely obsessed with pushchairs. I had at least 4. I was constanly flicking through the pram sections of magazines and shop brochures. Perhaps my obsession was because prams become an extension of yourself when you have small kids. You are never seen without one! Tracey x
