Joe Browns is a company I have only recently come across. They offer a range of mens and womens clothing, and to me it shouts vintage, festival style – classic clothing with a trendy edge.
I was sent the Caroline’s Favourite Bridesmaid Dress to try out. I am not usually a very ‘dressy’ person, but this dress just caught my eye when browsing the site – and I just thought it was so pretty, and a really flattering shape too.
It’s even more beautiful in the flesh. The colour is stunning, and the length is perfect for me – at 5’3″ it sits on my knee, which seems to suit the style of the dress.
The pleats in the skirt make it ever so flattering, skimming over your hips and flaring out slightly to the hemline. The wide shoulder straps make me feel more confident than a spaghetti strap would, and the smooth band around the waist gives you an hourglass figure. The dress is lined with the softest of material, it really is a pleasure to wear, and ever so comfortable. I could easily wear this all day without feeling self conscious or uncomfortable.
I like the fact that this could be dressed up or down so simply. For a summer wedding or a smart occasion, dress it up with heels, a nice bag and a shrug. For everyday wear or a more casual feel, team it with leggings and a pair of flats. So versatile.
Would I recommend this pink dress? Yes, without a shadow of a doubt. I love it, and will get a huge amount of wear from it. Joe Browns has opened up a whole new world of clothing to me, and I can see that it will be one of my favourite stores from now on.

I’ve been a fan of Joe Browns for a long time, its my absolute favourite and the good news for plus size people is that they do a plus size range that has the same kind of edgy style. The thing is if you want plus size you cannot buy direct from Joe browns they sell via plus size sites only like Simply Be and JD Williams etc. I have quite a collection of plus size but have lost a lot of weight recently and now take 18 or 20 so can now get some from the regular site and some from the plus size one. The really good thing though is that 2nd hand value on ebay is excellent especially in the plus size so I am now selling my old stuff on ebay and getting very good prices back on them. The clothes are exceptionally well made, dresses are always lined and you can wash and wash them (although a fair few are hand wash only) and they come up beautiful every time with colours staying vibrant, like new, embroidery and sequins etc staying put and not spoiling. I never fail to get compliments when I wear Joe browns clothes including dresses, t shirts, sandals, winter boots, I can’t recommend them highly enough. The dress in the picture looks fabulous on you by the way Claire the style is a bit less boho than a lot of their clothes but not untypical.
Oh I am so jealous!! Every time I receive a Joe Browns catalogue I just drool over pretty much everything and wish I could buy it all!! This dress is stunning and looks lovely on xx

This is the dress that I’d spotted on their website too. It’s gorgeous
