Love lunch again with Philadelphia

Lunch can be a really boring meal can’t it? The same old sandwiches at your desk, the same fillings every week – just a bit dreary. Fear not – for this is where Philadelphia come in.

I was sent some Philadelphia and challenged to make an interesting and inspiring lunch, that takes less than 5 minutes to make and can be thrown together without the use of cooking utensils.
We thought about this as a family, and discussed what we like in a lunch. The answers ranged from ‘something yummy’ to ‘a sandwich with some texture’.
We came up with this.

You will need:
  • A wrap – this makes a nice change from bread. We like the square ones for easy rolling, or the mediterranean herbs variety for a treat.
  • Philadelphia spread – in the flavour of your choice. We used the original for this lunch.
  • Red and yellow cherry tomatoes – for that burst of sweetness and some colour.
  • Cheese and onion breadsticks – crumble these up and sprinkle over the Philadelphia for crunch, texture and a subtle added flavour.

The verdict? Delicious! These wraps were gobbled up by every member of the family, even the baby (although he took his apart and mushed it all over the table and his face first).

What would you do with a tub of Philadelphia? Would love to hear your lunchtime ideas!

I’m always struggling for my lunch at work. This looks great x

I think I’d just spread it on anything available – Pitta, crispbreads, a bagel. Not fussy really! x

This is such a great idea! The crumbled cheese and onion breadsticks sounds yummy with Philadelphia, and it’s so quick and easy too. My kids really enjoy wraps so I’ll definitely be giving these a go! 🙂
