A good bra is essential at the best of times, but during pregnancy and breastfeeding it becomes even more important. You need the extra support as your breasts grow and change during pregnancy, and you don’t want anything restrictive or with an uncomfortable wire. Because you never know how much your breasts will change shape you need something flexible and soft, that will change as you do. For this, I love the Essential Embrace bra from Bravado.
Comfortable, supportive and lightweight is made from Bravado’s Dynatex fabric – a mix of cotton and microfibre that is breathable and stretchy. It is smooth and leaves no lines under clothing, and even comes with a bra extender if you need it as your shape changes in the last few weeks of pregnancy. The easy open and close cups can be operated with one hand for easy breastfeeding and skin to skin contact. I have this bra in black with purple piping, and it’#s much prettier than some maternity and nursing bras too!
Another great Bravado offering is the Body Silk Seamless nursing bra. Again suitable as a maternity and nursing bra, this one feels like a second skin. It’s seamless and totally invisible under my clothes, and comes with removeable foam cups which can help to hide breast pads if required. The cups drop right down for feeding and can be opened and closed with one hand. The clever thing about this bra is that it comes with a bra conversion kit, allowing you to turn it into a regular bra once you have finished breastfeeding – and you will definitely want to as it’s SO comfortable, and moulds to your shape perfectly.
If you love the look of the Body Silk Seamless bra, then you will be as excited as me by the release of the new Orchid Pink colourway – who said maternity and nursing bras can’t be pretty?!
It’s gorgeous, and definitely one I am going to be adding to my collection very soon. If you would like one too, then I have just the giveaway for you. The lovely Bravado team are giving one of my lucky readers the chance to win a Body Silk Seamless nursing bra in Orchid Pink – all you have to do is enter via the rafflecopter form below! Good luck!

Don’t be afraid to ask for help, and drink LOADS of water…. you get really dehydrated in the early days!
If co sleeping try feeding lying down. It gives me more chance to catch up on sleep this way.
Don’t give up in those early weeks – it’s worth getting over the initial blips!
Stick at it! xx
Stay well hydrated and fenugreek is awesome!
I like to wear a strappy top underneath any top. Its so much easier for feeding when out and about.
Have patience
That does look like a rather comfortable nursing bra, and I admire your confidence to be able to be photographed in your undergarments! 😀

It does get easier! And you may need to try things ‘not authorized’ by breast feeding experts at the hospital. They insisted I try feeding without my baby having clothes and it wasn’t working at all but once I wrapped her up like my mom suggested we cracked it!

I spent a lot on my nursing bras, and it was the best money i spent as I wore them every day whilst I was breastfeeding. I have kept them in the hope next time i get pregnant (fingers crossed) I am the same size i was with M! #triedandtested

They look so comfy and I love how the easy they undo to breastfeed. Past those days now but would have used if I known about them!

Every baby is different. My three all fed differently and it was essential not to compare. Best of luck!

Looks a good bra, hope it all works well for you
I tried breast feeding my first child and after 4 weeks I gave up, I felt like a failure, but she wasn’t gaining much and I was losing to much weight, plus I wasn’t eating due to being a domestic violence relationship, but she is now a strong 7 year old and I’m glad I gave it a go!
Looks good, but I won’t be needing nursing bras again #triedtested

I breast fed until both of my kids were 17 months and I plan on doing the same for the baby I have on the way. I suffered with mastitis with both kids and my tip is using savoy cabbage leaves to sooth the inflammation in the first instance. Unfortunately my bouts of it resulted in needing antibiotics bug that isn’t always necessary for everyone so I’ve heard. These bras look greats and I could do with a new one as I’m using mat bras from my last pregnancy 5 years ago at the moment!
Looks really comfy which is so important #triedtested
