A good bra is essential at the best of times, but during pregnancy and breastfeeding it becomes even more important. You need the extra support as your breasts grow and change during pregnancy, and you don’t want anything restrictive or with an uncomfortable wire. Because you never know how much your breasts will change shape you need something flexible and soft, that will change as you do. For this, I love the Essential Embrace bra from Bravado.
Comfortable, supportive and lightweight is made from Bravado’s Dynatex fabric – a mix of cotton and microfibre that is breathable and stretchy. It is smooth and leaves no lines under clothing, and even comes with a bra extender if you need it as your shape changes in the last few weeks of pregnancy. The easy open and close cups can be operated with one hand for easy breastfeeding and skin to skin contact. I have this bra in black with purple piping, and it’#s much prettier than some maternity and nursing bras too!
Another great Bravado offering is the Body Silk Seamless nursing bra. Again suitable as a maternity and nursing bra, this one feels like a second skin. It’s seamless and totally invisible under my clothes, and comes with removeable foam cups which can help to hide breast pads if required. The cups drop right down for feeding and can be opened and closed with one hand. The clever thing about this bra is that it comes with a bra conversion kit, allowing you to turn it into a regular bra once you have finished breastfeeding – and you will definitely want to as it’s SO comfortable, and moulds to your shape perfectly.
If you love the look of the Body Silk Seamless bra, then you will be as excited as me by the release of the new Orchid Pink colourway – who said maternity and nursing bras can’t be pretty?!
It’s gorgeous, and definitely one I am going to be adding to my collection very soon. If you would like one too, then I have just the giveaway for you. The lovely Bravado team are giving one of my lucky readers the chance to win a Body Silk Seamless nursing bra in Orchid Pink – all you have to do is enter via the rafflecopter form below! Good luck!

Know where to get support before your baby arrives. Being prepared with a list of places that can help if you need it can be the difference between achieving your feeding choice or not. If you need the support, you know where it is, and if you don’t then there’s nothing lost by having the information anyway 🙂

I stocked up on nursing bras. Then three days after my son was born my milk came in and my husband had to do an emergency dash to the store to buy more nursing bras that would fit my over inflated boobs!

It’s a lovely colour and you can’t beat a comfortable bra. I didn’t breast feed, for various reasons, but since being pregnant I now prefer non underwired bras. They are just a lot more comfortable!
Be prepared to be flexible – don’t expect to always be sat in a comfy chair with cushions. learn to breastfeed on the go #TriedTested

I’ve never seen such nice maternity bras! I spent months in maternity and nursing bras so I know how important it is to get the right fitting one. I always knew breastfeeding was the best start in life I could give my children. Also I was far too lazy to have to get up in the middle of the night and start making bottle up while my baby was screaming!
