Anyone who breastfeeds knows how expensive nursing wear can be – especially when you consider that you may only wear it for a few months. Created, designed, tested and approved by breastfeeding mums, the Breastvest was invented to make breastfeeding easier – especially if you are a bit self-conscious about feeding in public. It works with any top, so you can use whatever is already in your wardrobe, and it covers up your tummy so you can feed without flashing your post natal tummy.
The vest is super soft, almost silky feeling, and very stretchy, so it can change with your shape, and is even comfortable enough to wear post C section. The design of it may throw you when you first try it, but just pop it on like a normal vest – it is exactly the same apart from the fact that the top is cut away so it sits just under your bra. Pop your top on over it, and when you are ready to feed you can just lift your top up, unhook your bra and away you go. It means there is nothing on view as the Breastvest covers your tummy and your usual top covers your shoulders and chest.
You could even wear this during pregnancy as an extra layer – it is stretchy and generously sized so would work as an extra layer underneath a normal tshirt, covering up the bottom half of your bump – again this could mean you spend less on special maternity clothes.
The Breastvest costs £15 – which is more pricey than a standard vest top, but it does offer more flexibility – you would only need a couple to see you through your breastfeeding journey. Much cheaper than a selection of nursing tops.

Feed wherever you are comfortable. Ignore others negativity and wear a cover if you are not comfortable with public breastfeeding. There is no ‘right’ way, it’s what suits you and your baby.
Be confident your baby will be able to tell if oyur stressed x
a quite babies better then a hungry screaming one in my books x
I didn’t really do it much in public. I guess be brave and don’t feel that you’re doing anything wrong is my tip.
My tip is to not stress! Easier said than done if you are new to breastfeeding in public but remember it’s the most natural thing to do, to feed your baby. Also the law is on your side 😉
yes dont feel ashamed xx
Don’t stress out.
If they dont like it, tough!
Never feel ashamed!! I didn’t flaunt BF in public, but I did do it anywhere and everywhere that both my children wanted. No one mentioned anything, but I would have stood firm if they had.
Be confident and never ashamed.x
Do what makes you feel comfortable, so if that’s covering up do that, or if it’s sit in a certain place in the room etc. Work out what is going to make you feel most and at ease and do that!

Find the best place that you feel comfortable in to breast feed your baby, after all it’s a totally natural thing to do!
The more you do it, the easier it becomes
Its the most natural thing in the world so don’t worry
I use Aden + Anais muslin swaddles as a cover up. The patterns are gorgeous and they are huge so you can wrap your baby in them and tuck them under your bra strap or tie them around your neck as a secure cover-up. Being muslin they also keep you cool which stops you and baby getting stressed.
