Birthday bash: Day 7 – Win a Mexican Bola necklace

I can hardly believe I am writing this, but it’s been almost 3 years since I started blogging – 3 years! I honestly don’t know where the time has gone, and I can’t believe how much blogging has given me over those 3 years – an income, the chance to try some amazing products and work with some incredible brands – but most of all, friendship. The friends I have made through blogging are now some of my best – people I know will be there any time of day or night if I need a chat or some advice, the people who were there when Eliza was born, cheering me on and sending gifts and well wishes, the people I would never have known if it wasn’t for this blog. And for that, I am so grateful for my little corner of the web, and so grateful to you guys – the ones who read it, share your own stories and make me smile on a dark day with your words of wisdom and support.

Today is day 7 of the Birthday Bash giveaways, and I have a gorgeous Mexican Bola necklace from Blooming Lovely Jewellery up for grabs!

Mexican Bola necklace

The Bola charm is traditionally a chiming pendant; it is believed to help pregnant women to bond with their unborn babies. It is worn low over the bump- allowing the soft tinkling chime to gently soothe and serenade the unborn baby as mother goes through her every day activities. Once born the same familiar sound is said to comfort baby.

my first engagement ring. My husband was going to propose to me on a spa break but our car broke the week before. I knew he had saved £800 but didnt know he intended to buy a ring with it, so i convinced him to buy my dad’s banger. When we were away he dropped onto one knee after a lovely meal and gave me a ring. He told me not to show anyone at the spa venue as it turns out he bought it in the gift shop. A few weeks later my finger turned green, but i love that ring and what it meant, even though i no longer wear it.
