Giveaway | Win a Britax Trifix iSIZE car seat

Britax Dualfix iSIZE

We have been huge fans of Britax car seats for a long time now, using them for all 4 children. The Britax Dualfix is still one of my all time favourites, allowing Eliza to be comfortably rear facing as well as making my life easier with the revolutionary swivel function.

The latest addition to the Britax car seat range is the TRIFIX2 i-SIZE. Made in Germany and designed with Britax Römer’s renowned crash testing capabilities, it is based on the award-winning TRIFIX2 platform, and is suitable for children from 76 cm to 105 cm tall (15 months up to approx. four years), making it the perfect follow up to the popular BABY-SAFE i-SIZE infant carrier.

The new sleekly designed TRIFIX2 i-SIZE is approved for all cars with dedicated i-Size seating positions as well as cars with ISOFIX and Top Tether anchorage points. The car seat does not require an additional base for the unique installation that reinforces the stability of the seat, whilst allowing for more space in the foot-well of the car.

All-round protection for children

Providing all-around safety, the TRIFIX2 i-SIZE ensures children are optimally protected thanks to the large, deeply padded side wings and Britax Römer’s SICT inside technology, which absorbs energy and keeps children away from the impact of the crash. Additionally, the special V-shaped form of the headrest is designed to control the movement of the child’s head in an impact. In the event of a frontal collision, Britax Römer’s patented ISOFIX with Pivot Link system directs the force downwards into the vehicle seat, thereby reducing the risk of head and neck injury, while the Top Tether with rip stitch technology helps reduce the forward movement of the child in the case of a crash. The Top Tether’s unique stitch pattern has been designed to progressively rip in a controlled fashion, absorbing the force of the frontal impact during a collision.

These features, along with the 5-point harness with soft neoprene performance chest pads (which can be easily removed for washing), help to protect children from an impact of any direction.

Comfort uncompromised

The TRIFIX2 i-SIZE not only provides the optimum safety technologies, but also makes sure that children are travelling in complete comfort. The advanced ergonomics of a good seating position and superb padding offer a stress-free journey. The three recline options can be adjusted easily with one hand without waking up a sleeping child. The headrest provides seven height positions to ensure that the seat will grow with the child.

I try to organise everything the night before (doesn’t always work!)so we don’t spend valuable minutes looking for PE kits, reading books etc! My daughter’s school has works underway so she has to line up and then be escorted in and not dropped off outside her classroom, so she knows she has to be on time otherwise it’s a late slip!

Routine. We try to get everything ready the night before & have a fixed routine that everyone’s used to now so it makes things go more smoothly, not an easy task for 5 kids x

We make it into a game, then bribery if she gets ready on time she can take and play her tablet in the car, my Mollie has just turned 9 months this would be perfect for her, we need to get her a stage 2 car seat after Christmas, she’s easy to get ready and my 13 year old son gets the school bus to comprehensive school xxx

My top tip for getting the kids out the house on time is follow a routine – we always do nappy changes and get dressed upstairs before they are allowed downstairs to watch tv/have breakfast. The more fuss they make about getting dressed, the less time they get watching tv before nursery! It’s not fool-proof but most of the time it works for us.

Plan ahead, and be as organised as is possible. Get as much as possible organised the night before. Try to remain calm, make a family routine which works for you. Children like to know what is expected of them. Remember Responsible Adult is in charge, as children can distract others so easily, especially if they have their own agenda (tv, toys, etc). Keep aim and priorities at forefront of mind. Be possible, cheerful and reward good behaviour by acknowledging it. Best Wishes!

I play the song ‘hey ya’ when it’s time to leave the house in the morning, the kids know when they hear the song it’s time to go
