Childhood holiday memories

As children, we never went abroad on holiday. In fact I was 17 when I first went on a plane. But were our childhood holidays less exciting? Absolutely not!
I remember many, many trips to Cornwall. This is where we went on most of our holidays, exploring the beautiful Cornish coastline, and having huge amounts of fun along the way.

One of my favourite holidays in Cornwall was staying at a Haven campsite in Perranporth. I remember gorgeous beaches, exciting rock pool explorations, fish and chips by the sea, and Rory the Tiger!
There was never a dull moment. We were always on the go, but I know for a fact that we didn’t spend an arm and a leg. Us kids were happy having our own adventures in a new place – just as it should be.

Last year, I returned to Haven in Perranporth, this time with my own children. It was just as I remembered, and we had a fantastic time exploring the same places I enjoyed as a child. I loved showing my little ones the things that had made me smile all those years ago. And it was one of the best holidays we have had. Family memories are so precious.

I love Perranporth. We went there for the day when we were on holiday in St Ives.
I remember our boys having a fab time on the beach there.
