Project 365 Week 1

One of my resolutions this year was to take part in the wonderful 365 Project – quite simply a photo a day, every day, for a whole year. I am determined to see it through, and record a year of our lives. I think it will be an amazing thing to look back on at the end of the year, and see just how much everyone has grow, remember all the things we got up to, and relive all those milestones.

So here we have week 1. I will round up every Saturday, so this week there are just the 4 photos from 1st-4th January.

 Day 1
New Years Day – a quiet one at home, and some of the new Christmas board games were called into action. The children really enjoyed playing Labyrinth – and Mummy and Daddy enjoyed it too! Hours of family fun – and siblings playing nicely!

Day 2
Everyone loves a rubber duck. Santa bought these for Max, but all 3 children have loved playing with these in the bath. They squirt water – so you can imagine the state of my bathroom after this bath!
Day 3
Out and about with the children – they have been asking to go ice skating for a long time now, ever since they saw the temporary rink being put up near our house. So today we took them along, and they surprised us with how well they managed – much better than us! There were some lovely penguins that they could hold onto for balance, and they spent a very happy hour skating and falling into giggling heaps!
Day 4
We really needed to go to the supermarket to get some shopping today, but as we pulled into the car park, the heavens opened. So we spent 10 minutes sat int he car playing I-Spy and Count-the-number-of-red-cars (I am sure you have all played a similar version of this game lol) until the clouds cleared. Cue a quick dash into the shop, just in case the rain returned! It called for a warming hot chocolate when we arrived home of course.

We went ice skating in December and there were seals to sit on. Bud loved being pushed around the ice on it.
