23 weeks – in just one week, my baby will be classed as viable. That’s a huge milestone, and it makes it all seem a little bit more real.
How am I feeling? Pretty good really, apart from a stinking cold, but I can’t blame that on the pregnancy! It’s definitely harder to manage feeling a bit poorly when you are pregnant – the tiredness hits you harder, you can’t really take anything to help with the symptoms, and it seems to take a lot longer to fight and recover. I have been attempting to fight the cold with all the foods I am craving at the moment – pineapple, apples, yogurt, strawberries and juice. Thankfully my cravings have all been pretty healthy this time – wonder if that is a clue to the sex of this baby?
I have started to feel the bump a bit more this week – I am definitely getting twinges in my back from the extra weight, and finding it more difficult to manoeuvre. The bump also seems to have popped outwards a bit more this week, and so finding maternity clothing that fits and flatters has been a must! Thankfully, Yummy Mummy Maternity came to my rescue, and sent me a gorgeous Sailor Green Stripe maternity and nursing top to try.
Finding tops that are both comfortable and stylish in pregnancy can be really hard. A lot of the high street stores offer some really comfortable yoga pants and loose tshirts, but I also want something that is smart enough to wear out and about, something that makes me feel pretty, but doesn’t dig in, feel too tight or restrict my movement. This Yummy Mummy maternity top offers just that. I love the soft green and white stripes, I love the long sleeves for this time of year, and I really love the crossover wrap style neckline, which hides a discreet nursing layer – so this tshirt will see you through pregnancy, breastfeeding and beyond.
The stretch jersey material means that this top simply skims your bump, and grows with you over the 9 months. You could easily wear this from day 1 through to toddler-dom, and know that it would keep its shape. It washes up well with no colour change, and is available in this green and white, blue and white or red and white. I am tempted to buy all 3…
I will be back next week with a 24 week update. If you want to find out what happened in week 22, you can read that post here – there are some pictures from our scan too!
Gorgeous top! Every week I read your update and am pleased to see no mention of SPD yet x

I know – by this stage last time I was on crutches and signed off work. I am just really hoping it doesn’t make an appearance this time!
That’s what I thought! I seemed to remember it being really early on so I’m crossing my fingers tightly for you! x
