PurFlo are well known for their safe sleep products for baby, but they thought it was about time they offered mums and mums-to-be some of the PurFlo magic too. When the mummies at PurFlo HQ were asked what was the toughest bit about their pregnancy, the issue of getting comfortable came up time and time again; as well as being too hot at night.
The challenge was set; PurFlo got their product development heads together and designed the PurAir pregnancy pillow. But a pregnancy pillow wasn’t enough for PurFlo; they wanted to add the PurFlo touch and improve what was already available on the market.
The clever design guys came up with the idea of adding COOLMAX technology to a newly designed pregnancy pillow. COOLMAX™ promotes airflow and actually draws the heat away from your body, keeping you cool as well as comfortable. The PurAir Pillow is sized to be supportive without being too big and is ergonomically designed to encourage you to sleep on your left side which is medically recommended during pregnancy.
Alison Bourne, BabyCentre Physiotherapy Expert, agrees that
“Sleeping on your left side is best for your baby, because it helps the flow of blood and nutrients to the placenta. It also helps your kidneys to get rid of waste products and fluids from your body. This in turn helps to reduce swelling in your ankles, feet and hands.“
When using the PurAir Pregnancy Pillow the cushioning between your knees keeps the pressure off the muscles around your hips and pelvis and the under bump support will ease the strain on your back. Add this to the benefits of the COOLMAX technology and you can wake feeling rested and comfortable even in the third trimester.
