Max and Eliza are big fans of PJ Masks. They love watching them on the TV, and Max recently went to a PJ Masks birthday party, which he raved about for weeks afterwards. One of the PJ Masks characters, Romeo, has a self created personal assistant – The Robot. When Max and Eliza found out they could have their very own version of The Robot, they were very excited, and couln’t wait to try him out!
PJ Masks Lights and Sounds Robot acts in the same way as the robot in the show. He rolls and beeps along when you press his head to activate the lights and sounds. He has bendable arms and a variety of different facial expressions and sounds. Once activated, he runs through the whole range of his light and sound options.
The bendable arms are a nice touch, making it easy for the children to change the robot to suit their play conditions. Eliza and Max have been building towers and castles for the robot to sit inside, or knock down with his spin function.
The PJ Masks Lights and Sounds robot is priced at £29.99, and is available from Argos and The Entertainer. It seems to be in line with other products of a similar style, and I can see it being a popular choice this Christmas.
Would we recommend it? I’m not sure to be honest. It’s set to be popular I’m sure, purely because of the link to PJ Masks. But it doesn’t really….do much? One press of his head and you get a few different lights and sounds. And that’s about it. It seems quite a lot of money, for what is a toy with very limited play capabilities. We have had the PJ Masks robot for about 10 days now, and already the novelty has worn off, which is a real shame. We had high hopes for this one, but have actually been left feeling a little bit deflated.
