A couple of months ago we reviewed some of the Meadow Kids range, and we were impressed by the fun, the quality and the range of products for family interaction. We were recently sent a few more items from the range, and the children weren’t disappointed with what they received.
Giant box of stencils
Gemma loved this box of stencils. She is a pretty arty and crafty kid anyway, and so this really appealed to her. She loved the freedom it gave her to create her own pictures and then add princesses, unicorns and fairies. The set comes crammed with 6 stencils with over 170 stencil shapes, 20 designed sheets, 6 colouring pencils and 1 pencil sharpener, so there really is everything you need to design and make some wonderful pictures. Because the stencils are reuseable this set is ever such good value and would make a lovely gift.
Playtime Pets Fingers Puppets Friends
We have a few books with finger puppets – they are always popular with the children, and have been right from an early age. It’s a lovely way to get children involved with stories and use their imaginations to interact. This lovely board book from Meadow Kids features lovely, bright images and a simple story about pets playing in the garden. It’s perfect for Max’s age, and he has loved matching up the puppets with the animals on the pages of the book. Again, this would make a beautiful present.
Numbers and shapes pocket chart
As a teaching assistant, I am always a big fan of toys that can be used at home to aid learning and support what the children have been doing in class. This numbers and shapes pocket chart does just that – it helps reinforce shapes, numbers and how to write the words relating to those. The clear pockets can have different cards slid in and out to display what you require, and the whiteboard section is ideal for copying the numbers and letters down and helping children to remember them. The set comes with a whiteboard pen and eraser so you can use it over and over. A set that will be kept and used over many years as Jacob and Max grow.
Once again, we are impressed with the quality of Meadow Kids, and the range of items that you just don’t see anywhere else.
