Review | Lottie & Lysh

Eliza has a better wardrobe than I do, by far. I love dressing her in bright, funky clothes, and especially those which are a little bit different. I discovered Lottie & Lysh about a year ago now, and have purchased several items from there, including leggings, dresses and tops. I love the fact that everything is customisable, so you can cadd your own little personal touches, such as coloured cuff and poppers, or you can mix things up by having a pocket added to a sweater, or having sleeves in 2 different materials. It means that I can really tailor Eliza’s wardrobe, and make outfits that clash or contrast.

One of the recent additions to the Lottie & Lysh range is ‘The Bomb’ jacket. This is where the customisation option REALLY comes into it’s own. Fully reversible, it features one heavy weight fabric and one standard weight jersey on each side – and let me tell you, there are SO many to choose from! You can also select your cuffing colour from a range of plain coloured materials – bear in mind that the cuff colour shows on both sides of the jacket, so go for one that compliments all of your other fabrics.

Choosing what we wanted for our ‘Bomb’ was no easy task. Eventually, I enlisted Eliza’s help for the first side, and she wanted a baby pink jacket with Apple Garden sleeves. I selected mint green cuffs and poppers. I think she made a good choice, don’t you?

This Bomb jacket is aged 5-6, and Eliza is almost 4 and a half. As you can see, it fits with plenty of growing room. The reversible nature of the jacket means that you can easily roll the sleeves up if needed, to reveal a flash of the other fabric.

For the other side of the jacket, I went for a fabric I had been eyeing up for a while now – Dash Art. It’s so bright and funky, and I could just see Eliza in it. I teamed this with quilted black jersey sleeves, and as you can see, the mint cuffing works beautifully with this design too.

The jacket is super soft, and the poppers make it simple for Eliza to take on and off herself. It looks fabulous teamed with pretty much everything – so far, we have worn it with jeans and hi-top trainers, and with leggings and sandals. It’s the perfect jacket to keep handy for throwing over the top of any outfit when the autumn sunshine disappears behind a cloud!

The jacket is perfectly topped off with the addition of one of the new Lottie & Lysh headwraps, also available in any of the jersey fabrics. Ideal for accessorising, and the perfect thing for keeping hair under control, I have become obsessed with these, and have a few sat in my basket waiting for my next Lottie & Lysh order!

Every item I have had from this small business has been superb quality, washes beautifully, and just lasts for ages. Eliza is still comfortably wearing age 3-4 Lottie & Lysh leggings, and has been for at least a year now – and they still look like new. When you buy from Lottie & Lysh, not only are you getting high quality, great value, funky and fun clothes for your little one, but you are also supporting a wonderful independent business.
